HOW TO WIN “BOYS OVER FLOWERS”
details about the dvds: this is a 2 disc set with the entire series on there. it works on american region dvd players. there are three subtitles you can choose from: english and two different types of chinese. (i know quite a bit of chinese but i haven’t checked this. i assume it’s traditional and simplified characters, which might be good if you have chinese family members and want to watch it!)
important note (PLEASE READ): these are not official but they’re obviously still legal (just independently produced for the chinese market). they are obviously subbed by a company in china and recorded from a tv in korea (it has news banners at the bottom occasionally and the KBS symbol in the corner). however, the subtitles throughout the show are very fantastic except for the occasional mistake (mostly lacking apostrophes, etc). they are very great until about the last 3 episodes. it seems they tried to rush the english subs near the end and, yeah, they’re kinda wonky and sometimes hilarious. the names actually get switched over to their chinese names. however, they’re completely understandable. despite the strange engrish, you will very much understand what’s going on (except you really gotta strain with the last episode, lmao, you lazy subbers). overall, i felt it was really worth the price i got it for even though the last few episodes are messed up and since you’re getting it for free, no complaining, esp. because i warned you!!
